I Feel Good...

Training is getting more fun as variation starts to coming.

Yesterday I did 10 miles on the bike, mountain bike that is, 50 minutes at 80% HR intensity. There were other guys doing their laps on proper bikes and what a difference; I was pumping my legs like crazy to keep a rhythm while they were pedaling easily and going by me at very high speed. I do not have a road bike, so I have to keep my training to the MTB bike. Probably this will do me good as when I do get my hand on a road bike I will have some extra strength and I will slice through the air at much higher speed.

Today I did a 3.1 mile run so see where am I at. Did it a low intensity, slow pace, plus I still have some discomfort on the right leg. Total time 27 minutes and the good thing is I WASN’T TIRED by the end of the run; I could of gone 2 more laps but I had to get to work. This is the same time from the 3.1m corporate run marathon I did last year; during the marathon I did run at high intensity and pace. So in comparison I can push myself harder and get a better time.

All this training is giving me a lot of energy during the day. At work I do not feel tired, I get home and have enough to go to the gym and lift some weights. I am giving my self at least 8 hours of sleep and I am keeping this as controlled as I can.

I am happy and feeling good.
