A new beginning...

Yesterday (4/3/2010) was my last rugby game for a while. Today I start focusing on my triathlon training and efforts. Race day is August 15, 2010, for the Key Biscayne Sprint Triathlon. From today is the first day towards a 19 week program; anybody that reads this will think 19 weeks for a sprint triathlon is an awful long time.

I need to recover from shin splint on left leg, so running is cut down to a light jog. Also yesterday I got kneed on the right calf, so now I can barely walk. I have not show one pool length in some time now, over 2 years; I need to get my swimming form and technique.

I want to keep this blog as for motivation and to look back at this when I had completed the event and start looking forward to the next. I will post progress pictures starting today, as starting/reference, point and as often as I can to track my progress.

Also, as support for training on those days that I can’t hit the gym, I will be using with a Bosu® balancing ball following the total body workout program.

Thanks for reading.

Santiago
