Volunteer and Kayaking…
Yesterday I volunteered at the Key Biscayne Olympic Triathlon. I was my first time coming out to a triathlon. It was a little bit hard waking up at 4 AM to get to the volunteer sign up table by 5. They assigned me to do body markings (writing the number of each participant on their body); when I was done with this I was able to catch the start of the race. Later I stationed in the entrance of the transition area where I served water, Gatorade, and fruits for the runners. Clocked out at 9AM, but left with a lot of knowledge on how a triathlon event goes, timing, and what to do.
Right after I clocked out of the triathlon I went to another part, Oleta River Park, to do some Kayaking with friends. Hour and half later we are all tired and paddling non-stop and all sun burnt. This morning I woke up all sored up; I can’t believe how much effort did I do on a Kayak (legs, back, arms, neck, everything hurts).
I am 15 weeks away from my first race…
