So, I am week and a half away from my first Olympic Distance Triathlon (www.mitrathlon.com). I am very exited, a bit nervous, and very anxious. I can't even concentrate to do my school work; I've got to finish an assignment before race day, since it is due race day.
Last Monday I bought my first tri suit, its a Pearl Izumi Select Tri Suit. I bought it at a local store here in my town that opened not more than 3 months ago and they are my source of fuel gels...gotta support local businesses: No Boundaries. I already tried the suit on the pool and bike, and a short jog, very comfi.
On a side note, my wife always reluctant to run, always saying she doesn't like it; run a 5k in January for her little brother's school, and now she is hooked on 5K races. Same day I bought my suit, she bought some very nice Pearl Izumi's running shoes. She asked me to prepare her a 5K training program (and asked how to improve her stride). Same day she signed up for this race
www.1040k.org, and will register soon for the Miami's Dirty Mud 5K event. She is even asking for a watch with GPS, HR, pace, and the works. For now she will be using my forerunner 305.
Last Saturday went swimming and biking with my dad. Here is a picture we took after the swim.
